Your training will encompass three types of learning:
- Theoretical knowledge, the foundation of your education.
- Practical experience, the application of your knowledge.

Each phase of your education will emphasize a different combination of learning approaches.
The State of Wisconsin requires our students to attend school for 1800 hours to qualify for the State Board Examination for licensing. At VICI, students attend classes for approximately 50 weeks, Tuesday through Saturday.
VICI Aveda Institute is located in a new building, beautifully designed with an open concept interior. The facility has extensive classroom and clinic areas, a wireless internet café ˇnd is complete with a retail store. This combination creates a dynamic, full-service educational experience.
Cosmetology
VICI is proud to be a Pivot Point member school. Pivot Point is the most widely accepted cosmetology training system in the world. It has been translated into thirteen languages and is used in 1000 affiliated hair design schools in over 70 countries worldwide. Pivot Point uses a methodology that allows learning at the emotional, visual, analytical and manual level. Our delivery tools are interactive, providing students and educators with the most current in-depth knowledge of art and design theory as well as practical exercises and communication skills.
Pivot Point has consulted the University of Chicago Fine Arts department and hair theorists as well as art design specialists around the world to validate their innovative training system. This approach to hair design guides students through the basic elements of texture, design/form, and color. Students learn to visualize the elements as one, then mix and match them to create a variety of hair designs that's almost endless. It's scientifically proven to work!
Esthiology
Prepare yourself for the most exciting future in skin care at VICI Aveda institute. Our Esthiology curriculum provides skin care, body care and makeup training with an emphasis on using pure flower and plant essences in treatments. Upon completion, you will be ready to take the State of Wisconsin licensing examination and upon passing, succeed as a licensed esthetician.
Learn the fundamentals of demanalysis, facial manipulations and equipment and plant aromaology as you study the related sciences of anatomy and histology, along with state safety requirements.
Apply your knowledge through clinic experiences while you increase your understanding in the classroom. You will refine your skills and gain the expertise you need to meet VICI's skin care, body care and makeup service standards and safety requirements.
